Hi! I'm Zack and I'm Lead Pastor of City on a Hill Church. I'm so glad you’re reading this short story about who we are and what we're doing. But before you go into the site and read more about this amazing church, let me take a moment and fill you in on our family. I'm a San Diego native that has an amazing dream and plan to plant one of hopefully many churches in the San Diego area. I have a wonderful wife, Jessica, who is way too good and great for me. I have three beautiful children: Zoe, who loves Barbie and anything to do with Disney; Preston, who is more boy then we can handle; and Reese, whose smile melts a bad day into a great one. We love Seaworld, dancing to our Ipod, hiking on Cowles Mountain, playing any game imaginable, and more than anything else, hanging out with friends and family. We are an ordinary everyday family with our heart set on working with Jesus to build an extraordinary church!

In my early twenties I received an unmistakable call to be a church planter. I graduated from the amazing Berean Bible College in 2004 and have been waiting and preparing myself to plant City on A Hill Church. We are working to be a church that preaches Jesus’ powerful gospel, helps the hurting, teaches correctly, loves passionately, works tirelessly, seeks those yet to know Jesus, trains our children, builds men, inspires women, encourages the family, helps the mother, protects the vulnerable, and genuinely gives the world an accurate biblical view of who Jesus is! We want to be the church, doing what Jesus has challenged us to do, and not just go to church!
